Hugo De La Rosa was born and raised in Mexico City, el D.F., and is the youngest of 11 children. A self taught chef, his main inspiration stems from his childhood memories in the family kitchen. His joy of cooking and artistic vision for the food industry, has led him to where he is today. His dishes are clean and crisp, yet made with great passion. His flavors are bold and only made with the freshest and highest quality ingredients. Hugo has worked in the Chicago food and beverage industry for over 20 years. His experience includes both front and back of the house, to management and now, business owner. His engaging personality is immediately felt when you enter his restaurant, and you will leave feeling like you became part of a wonderful family. He takes pride in remembering each and every person that enters his establishment and treats each guest as if they were the only ones in the room. His attentiveness to detail is seen within the restaurant, his employees, and his menu.
His passion for excellent service and great food have brought him to where he is today – fulfilling a lifelong dream of opening his own restaurant.
